Illona Battaglia Aguayo graduated Jersey City State University with a teaching credential in art and an emphasis in Sculpture. During her career, she was awarded three Fulbright Exchanges, teaching studio art in Poland and speaking on her philosophy of art education in Egypt at Cairo’s School for Art Teachers. After 30 years of translating travel experiences into lesson plans, today Illona’s focus is on her own journey. Aguayo recent works are large scale acrylics on canvas.
