Patricia Post has an endless fascination for the human figure; the beauty and grace of its form and the power of its gesture to evoke response. interested in provocation as it relates to the paradox and contradictions of what it means to be human, her visual forms challenge with emotion and the narrative of experience; including observations of the natural world and itªs relationship to the human psyche.
Awarded a Disney American Teacher Award, and Teacher of the Year Awards from LA Music Center, Otis and Kansas City Art Institutes, Post retired after 41 years of teaching within the Visual Arts, and has devoted herself to full time studio work. Making image is born of something inherent in who she is. She has degrees in Art and Sociology from the UC Santa Barbara and is currently a Spotlight Artist for the Focus on the Masters Program in Ventura, CA. Post continues to explore her interest in both printmaking and painting as well as sculpture.
