Studio Channel Islands Art Center is currently seeking proposals for solo, group, and curated exhibitions for 2018-2020 and beyond. Established and emerging artists are encouraged to apply.
The primary exhibition space is 1500 sq.ft with eight movable walls. Shows run 4-6 weeks and include an opening reception. We also program gallery talks, lectures, studio demonstrations and workshops with visiting artists, historians, and curators when possible.
All visual arts media are eligible for consideration. Artists 18 years or older may apply. Proposals may be submitted by individual artists, artist representatives, groups, cooperatives, and curators. All work must be original and for sale.

Proposals must include:
- 10-20 images of works representative of the proposed exhibition. Up to 6 videos or 6 audio files if relevant. (A combined total of no more than six audio/video files may be submitted.)
- A written exhibition proposal.
- $20 Application Fee. Can be paid online or by mail checks made out to SCIART
- A budget summary, only if requesting financial support specifically related to exhibition expenses.
NOTIFICATION AND SELECTION
All proposals will be reviewed by the Standards Committee. Invited artists will be noti?ed in February or March 2017.

File dimensions: no smaller than 1920 on the longest side
SPECIFICATIONS AND LIMITATIONS
Paintings and framed works should be wired or ready for hanging. Free-standing and pedestal works must be stable. Installation of large-scale works, works over 100 lbs., or works needing specialized equipment, or complex installation and assembly may require on-sight installation by the artist. Size (including boxing/crating) is limited to works that will fit through a standard door, 32 x 80 inches. All work must be original and available for the duration of the scheduled exhibits.
All exhibitions are promoted through Studio Channel Islands Art Center through local and regional press releases, websites, social media announcements and community calendars, email announcements, and through printed exhibition postcards.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR EXHIBITIONS
All gallery installation and promotional expenses will be covered by Studio Channel Islands. Applicants should include a budget if requesting financial support for exhibition expenses.
SHIPPING AND TRANSPORTATION
Artists are responsible for delivery of works to and from the gallery unless otherwise agreed.
USE OF IMAGERY
Studio Channel Islands Art Center reserves the right to use images of selected artwork for marketing and publicity.
