November 30 – December 16, 2017

December 1, 5-7 pm. Opening reception

The Blackboard Gallery invites entries for our small works exhibition, featuring artworks no larger than eighteen inches in any direction. All genres are welcome. Click here for the link to our CaFE site. Remember that Artist Members of Studio Channel Island benefit from a $10 discount.

Since it’s the gift-giving season, purchased works will depart the gallery as they are sold, accompanying their happy new buyers home! Sold works will be replaced by a red bow and a jaunty sign directing viewers to enjoy more of the artist’s work in our Gift Shop.

To this end, every artist whose work is juried into the show is invited to place one additional piece of his/her choosing in the Gift Shop for the duration of the show, unless it sells first!

During this exhibition Studio Channel Islands will host its annual ‘Holiday Art Market’ which attracts over 1,000 people in a single day. The Holiday Art Market is a major selling event with tens of thousands of dollars of work being sold in just a few short hours.

Artist whose work is accepted are welcome to attend the Holiday Market on December 2nd. Any successful artist who wishes to hold a special reception or sales event during the period of the exhibition are welcome to contact the office to discuss the practicalities.
