Would you like your artwork to appear on the front cover of the New West Symphony’s Masterpiece programs?

Studio Channel Islands is working in partnership with the New West Symphony to deliver a concert program cover art project. The New West Symphony produces a unique concert program for each of the six performances within their season and would like to feature a Studio Channel Islands’ member artist on the cover for each program.

Each artist selected would donate their work to the project, in return they would be given the opportunity to meet the concert sponsors and the major supporters of the New West Symphony. Each original artwork would be exhibited individually at the corresponding concert and collectively at Studio Channel Islands in the summer of 2018. The six works would be auctioned off at this very special fundraising event with the proceeds going to support both non-profit organizations.

The New West Symphony and Studio Channel Islands would promote the project by exhibiting the artworks at venues around Ventura County in the lead up to the concert. Artists are requested to be available to autograph program covers at selected concerts. It is anticipated this project will generate significant media attention as well as provide numerous opportunities for the artists to meet with the county’s strongest arts supporters and potential new collectors.

Deadline for Artist Submissions Deadline is September 1st, 2017

Artists should send a cover e-mail to with a PJEG of their work, artists statement and information about the artwork.

Artists statement should express the connection between the artwork and the concert program. This could be a creative link or response to the composer, the musical pieces, or the themes within the concert.
