Artist Talk with Carol Henry

Artist Talk with Carol Henry

Saturday, May 14th, 5pm at the Gallery

Carol Henry explains her darkroom process she has developed over  25 years for capturing the essence of flowers. There is no film, camera or computer involved. The images are made on a Swiss photo paper in the darkroom by projecting light through compositions, exposed directly and creating vibrant mono-prints. The subjects range from botanicals to abstracts with seaweed, water, sheer fabric and glass added in the darkroom often creating environmental illusions. Carol Henry has a BFA from Northern Michigan University and has also attended University of Cincinnati and UCLA. Having participated in over 200 exhibits nationally, Carol is in many permanent collections, both private and public. Free admission – donations welcome.
