Members Gallery

View Points Members gallery exhibition, August-September 2022

Artist Members who wish to display their art in our Members Gallery should fill out an exhibition proposal. Artists wishing to become members can find out more here.

Prospective members may submit an exhibition proposal for the Members Gallery prior to joining as an Artist Member. If accepted, artist must join as a member prior to exhibiting in the Members Gallery.

Applications are reviewed every three months beginning with February, or as needed. Members Gallery exhibitions are typically scheduled 1-6 months in advance.

Main Gallery

Studio Channel Islands Art Center is currently accepting proposals for solo, group, and curated exhibitions. Established and emerging artists are encouraged to apply.

The primary exhibition space is 1500 sq.ft with eight movable walls. Shows run 4-6 weeks and include an opening reception. We also program gallery talks, lectures, studio demonstrations and workshops with visiting artists, historians, and curators when possible.

All visual arts media are eligible for consideration. Artists 18 years or older may apply. Proposals may be submitted by individual artists, artist representatives, groups, cooperatives, and curators. All work must be original and for sale.

Teaching Opportunities

If you are passionate about sharing your artistic talent and skills, and enjoy working with children, consider joining our Education Team.   

You will: teach art to K-12 students on-site at SCIART and/or at school sites within Ventura County, design and develop course outlines and lesson plans, teach different class sizes from four to 30 students depending on the program, teach a variety of mediums, techniques, and concepts. Hours will be assigned according to your experience and schedule flexibility.
