New Art City Theatre Returns to Studio Channel Islands

New Art City Theatre, the Ventura-based theatre company that brought Studio Channel Islands the sold out “In The Studio” reading of Drowned Cats in May, comes back to SCI August 24th with a staged reading of a new musical comedy, Sunday After Next, based on the Oscar Wilde short story “Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime.” This musical adaptation is the brain child of New Art City Theatre founders Kirby and Beverly Ward, written by the duo with music and lyrics by Beverly Ward.

The story follows happy-go-lucky Lord Arthur Savile who is two weeks from his wedding when an ominous prediction turns his life upside down with hilarious results. Packed with tuneful melodies and outlandish characters, Sunday After Next is a farcical romp through Victorian London sure to set your toes tapping.
