Brittani Tkacz is a ceramic artist and Visual Arts teacher at Rancho Campana High School in Camarillo, California. She teaches Visual Art, Painting, 3D Sculpture, and A.P. Studio Art and Design, and founded the Ceramics Club at RCHS in 2016.
Brittani attended college on a full athletic scholarship for swimming, and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art with a concentration in Ceramics, from Cleveland State University in 2002. She coached USA Swimming full-time for several years after college before moving on to graduate school to study Art Education. She earned her teaching degree and Master of Arts in Art Education from Ursuline College in 2008, and began teaching High School Art full time. She loves to make pottery and clay sculpture, draw and paint, and also has extensive experience in fabric painting. She loves to make functional and decorative art for everyday beauty and whimsy in the home.
Brittani and her husband, David, have two children, ages 10 and 5, and two dogs and a cat. They love to watch anything in the fantasy genre (especially Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings), and old horror movies.
