Now
Form/Frequency
October 3 – December 12
Don Harper, Marion Wood, & Andy Lepe
Explore the relationship between sight and sound, between the visual and the aural, within a highly interactive harmonic environment. The paintings translate the rhythm, flow, and emotion of music into visual patterns, while the music amplifies the depth and energy of the art. The work is designed to be experienced against a constantly changing context with elements working together to create a kaleidoscope of form, freedom and frequency.

Emergence
February 6 – 26
Celebrating the work of Studio Channel Islands to showcase and support emerging artists in our community.
The jury for the Thomas and Patricia Dodds Award for Excellence selects students in the last two years of their degree in Ventura County’s colleges and universities to receive the cash prize. The jury selects work from student submissions to the Emergence exhibition each year.
Application deadline January 17, 2027.
Upcoming
Second Life
March 6 – 26, 2027
A curated selection of artwork donated by our collectors. All the work in the exhibition will be placed into a silent auction with the proceeds going to support the work of Studio Channel Islands.
The story behind the acquisition of art and the life of that work within a collection is often as fascinating as the story behind the creation of the work itself. This exhibition presents 50 artworks from a diverse range of collectors, alongside descriptions of why collectors were drawn to purchase these works, where the work was displayed and why the collector has chosen to divest themselves of the work.
The exhibition will conclude with our Spring Fundraising Event.
Imagining Distance
April 3 – May 29
Curated by Derek Besant & Leslie Plimpton
Seven printmakers from Alberta and seven from California responding to one another's work despite the vast distances that separate them and the contrasting geographies and climates. This exhibition examines what makes these two places distinct for artists, and what draws them together.
Land + Sky Revue
June 5 – July 31
A celebration of the diverse artistic output of the Land + Sky residency program. The work presented in the gallery was created in response to the rich history and geography of the Lloyd-Butler Ranch, Somis, and features a wide range of styles and techniques.
Open Call: All Media
August 7 – September 11
Group show featuring new and exciting work from across the United States. Including two- and three-dimensional work, digital and new media.
