My earliest influence in art came from Jane Pinheiro. She showed me techniques in copper etching and watercolors. I was about 9. Next came a friends mother who taught at the local high school. I was around 10 or 11. Then my father. He was a good artist, but never pursued it. I always took an art class when I started high school. In college my major changed like the weather, but my minor was always art. I also took photography in college and that became my new art form for many years. It wasn’t until 2010, that I took up painting again. I decided to paint a self-portrait. My sister saw it and suggested I paint dead celebrities. Ergo, most of the portraits are of dead celebs. I have also started using a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24. This and Photoshop got me into digital art. There are many mediums used to create art; acrylic, oil, watercolor, pencil etc. Now we are into the new genre of digital. It is just another tool for creating art.
