“Fisheye Art of Light“
I studied Photography at the Learning Tree University in Thousand Oaks CA, the University of California Los Angeles, UCLA, and the Nikon School of Photography. Before raising my kids and focusing on photography I worked as a research scientist with a PhD in Biochemistry.
In 2009 I joined the Professional Photographers of Washington (PPW), as well as the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) to further develop my photographic craftsmanship. In spring 2010 I became a member of the Mercer Island Visual Arts League (MIVAL) and shortly after joined the MIVAL Gallery, which I managed from 2011–2012.
My photographic works feature a wide range of objects, from landscapes to close-ups to portraits and
collages. Most of my pieces are digitally transformed to enhance specific details or moods. My preferred print medium is metal. Printing directly onto an aluminum surface produces rich, vibrant colors and gives a perception of depth to the image. Metal prints are not only the most beautiful but also the soundest archival product on the market today
