Lisa Henry is the owner and teacher at Hello Clay Studio, a ceramics studio teaching handbuilding to adults. She has a BA in ceramics from UC Santa Barbara and graduate-level work in technical theater. She worked in the exhibits department for the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum and Monterey Bay Aquarium, had a career as a graphic designer, and then retrained in ceramics and sculpture. This led to working as a studio assistant to Delesprie, a professional monument sculptor and instructor.

She has been fully immersed in the world of clay for the last 9 years. After being juried in as a resident artist at Studio Channel Islands in Camarillo, CA, she has been teaching hand building to adults for 4 years. She teaches solid foundations and techniques to help her students be successful with minimal struggle.
