Todd Griese is an American poet and the publisher at Gandy Dancer Press, a small press dedicated to and specializing in mixed-media arts and collaborative expression with artists and musicians.

Todd Griese, former owner of the Ojai Bookstore, has been writing and publishing poetry for over forty years. His books include, Spiritual Lines (2009) and North Fork (2018), which was written in response to the Thomas Fire that consumed Ventura and Santa Barbara counties in late 2017 into early 2018. SO WE PRACTICE was published in 2023. Todd Griese has also published over 40 art broadsides.

Todd’s published work includes collaborative expressions of poetry, art, and music in various forms: books, prints, canvas broadsides and recorded compositions. His collaborators include the award-winning pastel artist, Daggi Wallace (2018), Ojai artist/graphic designer, Jane Shanahan (2009-2012) and artist/graphic designer Timm Sinclair (2015-2017).

In 2017, Todd Griese and legendary drummer, Terry Bozzio, (Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, Missing Persons, Mick Jagger, and UK.) joined their talents and vision for a unique and dynamic collaboration of art music and poetics. This project was a tremendous amount of work in a brief breath of time (4 months), the best kind of journey. This union produced an album, (No Work, No Food), seven broadsides, including a Japanese scroll (Sun-faced Buddha, Moon -faced Buddha), two live shows (Arts Alive 2017, pictured below), a gallery installation (A Part Of the Landscape, A Part OF The Human Condition), and documentary on the process of the collaboration.
