On May 9th, Sally Struthers, star of stage and screen, comes to Studio Channel Islands in an intimate table reading of a new play, Drowned Cats, by Greg LoProto. In partnership with New Art City Theatre (NACT), this “In The Studio” event gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the development of a brand-new play or musical.

In Drowned Cats, Struthers plays Grandma Emma. Irascible. Irreverent. Irrepressible. With a devastating storm looming, Emma’s got zero patience for her family and an intense interest in finishing a bottle of fine port wine. This gripping drama is laced with acid humor and set in a not-too-distant future where cataclysmic weather events are the norm.
