Guillermo Bert, 4 Farm Workers
Guillermo Bert is a Los Angeles-based multi-media artist. His decades-long practice involves working with cultural symbols, technologies, and diverse fabrication methods to realize projects that address consumption, migration, and traditions.
His Warrior series was created in response to the pandemic, to uplift the fieldworkers and celebrate their unseen labor keeping food on our tables. The work exists at the intersection of cultural and technological innovation, honoring our society’s invisible heroes by using 3D scanning and laser technology to create an army of present-day warriors, reminiscent of the 2,200-year-old Chinese Terracotta Warriors.
His work has been acquired by The Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery, LACMA, and the Rhode Island Museum of Art. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at museums and galleries including Queens Museum in New York, Palm Springs Museum, Lile3000 in France, Anchorage Museum in Alaska, Nevade Museum, MoLAA, Pasadena Museum of California Art, Museum of Art and Design in New York, and Craft Contemporary in Los Angeles.

Perri Lynch Howard, Headings 2 (Svalbard, Norway)
Perri Lynch Howard is a multi-disciplinary artist working in painting, drawing, installation, and sound. Her work investigates the passage of light, sound, and signal through the world’s most vulnerable ecosystems.
She explores how humans emotionally and consciously experience physical locations. Her work is transdisciplinary, rooted in deep listening and transforming data into sublime, yet intimate encounters with the natural world. She has traveled extensively, recording sounds within various environments, both above ground and below water. She investigates both sound and its absence, asking what is natural quiet, how do we truly listen to and experience our environment, and what impact extreme environmental change has wrought upon the delicate ecosystems of our planet.
Perri’s art has been exhibited globally, through exhibitions and sound installations completed in the United States, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, Canada, the Arctic Circle, and in South India as a Fulbright Senior Research Scholar.

Tom Pazderka, The Seven Year VVitch
Tom Pazderka was born and raised in former Czechoslovakia; he moved to the US with his family at the age of 12. The creative world of Tom Pazderka merges the ideals of Western capitalism and Eastern European folk memory.
Tom works with unusual materials, torn up books, the ash gathered from wildfires, old photographs, and memorabilia. His recent work responds to the fearsome power of the natural environment, the devastation wrought by human folly, and the repressed psychological terror of violence within the malevolent spirit of man.
“The last ten years of witnessing increasingly devastating fires in Southern California left an indelible mark on the way I understand and experience its landscape.”
The works in this show are drawn from two collections, The Fat Man and the Seven Year VVitch, come from his 2023 Gothic Insurrection series. These mixed media works use ash, oil, and charcoal on burned paper. The Falling Twilight and Elegies to Failed Revolutions come from his earlier 2014 series and were completed with charcoal on burned book paper.
“I burn, I draw, I construct and deconstruct objects loaded with historical and social baggage and conflicting ideologies… Is history written by great leaders or madmen?”
