Trash Gem 02
Cast resin, glass shards, auto glass, aluminum cans, iron filings

These trash gems transform garbage from the past into new magic for the future. Orgonites are a new-age invention, believed to emit a positive energy created by the constant pressure of something organic (resin) onto inorganic elements (quartz, metal). They’re used to encourage plant growth and inspire vivid dreams. But I used trash from the broken world to make these: shattered window glass, aluminum cans, copper from old electronics and other quartz/metal trash as a way to not just rebuild but reimagine what is broken. Put it on your queer nightstand to promote vivid dreams of a reformed future. Place them next to the seeds you are planting in the plot where the old-world monument stood until far too recently. Put constant pressure on the system. The system is not set in stone when our collective organic body can shatter it.
