Summary
Long Story Short is carving out their own sound within the chamber folk genre. Renowned instrumentalists Ashley Hoyer, Ben Schreiber, and Aria DiSalvio join forces to perform Hoyer’s originals and some traditional fiddle favorites. Mandolin, electric mandolin, fiddle, and cello weave melodies, textures, and harmonies to create a sound that has been described as cinematic and transportive. Hailed as a ‘mandolin phenomenon’ by the San Diego Tribune, Ashley’s compositions are the main staple of the trio. She crafts melodies and haunting harmonies that distinguish her works easily from the norm. Her other projects include reputable folk dance band, The Syncopaths, Sam ‘n Ash, an accordion/mandolin duo featured on the podcast Welcome to Night Vale, as well as a classical/folk crossover trio Fire and Grace and Ash. Ben Schreiber brings his driving energy and lyrical fiddling to the ensemble. A native of St. Louis, he travels across the country as an in-demand dance fiddler with his popular duo, Uncle Farmer. Cellist Aria DiSalvio brings her soulful, rich tone and refined technique to a wide variety of musical settings. Whether performing with the Santa Cruz Symphony or contemporary folk bands; or in the recording studio with artists such as Irish singer Éilís Kennedy or jazz trumpeter Roy Hargrove, Aria’s passion for and expertise in diverse styles of music shines through. A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music, Aria is currently on faculty at Alasdair Fraser’s Sierra Fiddle Camp and lives with her husband, two children, dog and chickens in the mountains above Santa Cruz, California.
Although this trio is new on the scene, individually these musicians are at the top of their game and eager to create a reputation for the ensemble. Collectively, they have performed for many distinguished organizations: The Carmel Bach Festival, KVMR Celtic Festival, The Monterey Jazz Festival, Millpond Festival, LEAF Festival, Wintergrass Festival, Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, Freight and Salvage, Bijou Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Swallow Hill, The Station Inn, Northwest Folklife Festival, and many others.

Summary
Join us for the triumphant return of our comedy programming at Studio Channel Islands Art Center! This series, curated by Jason Love, will bring all the family-friendly laughs into your Friday night and, in June, will feature Mary Gallagher, Don Friesen and Feraz Ozel!
Mary Gallagher
As she worked her way though college in Wisconsin, Mary Gallagher responded to a “Help Wanted” ad for singing telegrams. Her first one was for The Green Bay Packers! They requested she come dressed as a clown (and why wouldn’t they?) Since she had no idea how to sing, she put on her best rainbow wig and began crafting killer jokes just for The Packers and their families. A career was born and one clown made an iconic institution’s day!
She honed her writing and improvisational skills at The Second City in Chicago. There she also got hired by Citibank to show potential customers a new rewards program. That corporate gig ended up paying off her entire college loan, all while she learned improv from the finest teachers ever at The Second City.
With her friendly girl-next-door personality, she moved to Los Angeles and began her professional career in the entertainment industry. She’s now been in over 50 national commercials, has guest-starred and recurred on many hit television shows (Friends, Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS, How I Met Your Mother, The West Wing), and has also been in several major motion pictures. She’s hosted three national TV shows and in 2018 she had her national television stand-up comedy debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert!
She now hosts and performs at colleges, corporate events, churches, non-profits, and comedy clubs all across America. In 2022, she flew to the South of France to personally host a private event for Kevin Hart! Since she’s starred on several hidden-camera prank shows, he had her pull a prank on his good friend. She is now an international prankster!
Don Friesen
His kids think he’s fun. His wife thinks he’s an idiot. Audiences think he’s hilarious!
Don Friesen is a modern suburban dad just trying to raise his kids and get through the day with a bit of money in the bank and a scrap of dignity intact. With a unique style that can best be described as frenetic and engaging, Don captures the irony of parenting, marriage and everyday absurdities through characters, voices, parodies and some of the best written routines around. He’s a wanna-be geek who constantly upgrades to the latest technology, but can never get it to work, leading to signature bits about tech support, Idiots Guides, texting and passwords.
Friesen has recently taken his smart, savvy, and highly-caffeinated comedy to the stage at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA, for the taping of his new Showtime one-hour special titled “Ask Your Mom.” In his first nationally released concert special, Don delivers a winnng hour of clever, true-to-life “he’s talking about my family up there” comedy that manages to be adult-smart yet family-friendly.
Feraz Ozel
Feraz Ozel was recruited by the CIA, but turned it down for a life in comedy. Now, this LA based comedian tours internationally providing crowds with an energetic brand of insightful stand-up, often stemming from his perspectives as an Afghani-Pakistani American. Also a formally trained actor and improviser, Feraz has appeared on national television on 2 Broke Girls, Hollywood Darlings, Comics Unleashed, Conan, and Hulu’s Coming to the Stage, and recently shot his lead role in the feature film “Hollywood Dirt.” Feraz is also a seasoned writer and recently directed the film “Curious Georgina,” which starred Himself and Bobby Lee, screened at Just for Laughs in Montreal and was distributed by Kevin Hart’s LOL Network.
Feraz has been featured in the LA Times, The Atlantic Magazine, Rolling Stone, and several documentaries. Feraz also performed in the 2016 CBS Diversity Showcase, and wrote several sketches that appeared in the show. Recently, his stand-up album “Chillennial” charted in Billboard’s top 10, and iTunes’ top 3 for comedy albums, and his tracks regularly play on Sirius XM. Viral clips of his stand up have over 20 million views and have been distributed by mega-blogs like NowThis and LADbible.
You can catch Feraz performing regularly at comedy clubs all over Los Angeles including The Comedy Store and The Hollywood Improv. Or at his house trying to figure out what bitcoin is.

Join us for our next comedy night in the gallery! This event will feature Matt Kirshen, Omar Covarrubias and David Studebaker (bios below) on a family-friendly Friday night bill that is bound to bring the laughs to start your weekend off right!
—
Matt Kirshen’s precision wit has earned him an impressive reputation on the international comedy circuit.
Starting his standup comedy career in the UK, he moved to America as a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing. He has also appeared on Comedy Central’s @Midnight, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Paul Provenza’s Green Room on Showtime, and The Nerdist, and is one of the regular guest co-hosts of StarTalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Currently based in Los Angeles, he has been a writer for The Jim Jefferies Show on Comedy Central, for which he was nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award, and Arrested Development on Netflix. Matt has also written for and appeared on How To Build… Everything on the Science channel and Comedy KnockOut on TruTV.
His debut CD, “I Guess We’ll Never Know” was named in Laughspin Magazine’s top 10 albums of the year and his hit appearance at Just For Laughs festival in Montreal resulted in no fewer than 4 of his gags appearing in the Montreal Gazette’s round up of their best jokes of the fest.
He also hosts Probably Science, a weekly comedy and science podcast featuring a mix of comedians and scientists breaking down the week’s science news.
While it’s his TV appearances that most comedy fans will recognize him from, they are often surprised at the breadth and scope of his material, described by one reviewer as “intelligent, but with the emphasis firmly on the funny.”
—
For the past 20 years, comedy magician Omar Covarrubias has delighted Los Angeles audiences with Magic Shows. At 19, his fascination with the art of magic compelled him to perform on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. As a street performer, the magician learned to engage people from all walks of life.
Over the years, Covarrubias appeared at comedy clubs, private parties, and performed in open-air forums such as the Las Vegas Strip. His transition from street performing to the L.A. comedy circuit was encouraged by Rudy Moreno, the “Godfather” of Latin comedy. Soon after Omar made his first appearances at the Ice House, Hollywood Laugh Factory & the House of Blues.
The magician calls forth constant audience participation by incorporating vaudevillian comedy & musical bits into his act. He often brings the crowd in on his jokes, only to surprise them moments later. His warmth & charisma puts spectators at ease & expectations are increasingly surpassed as the show unfolds.

David Studebaker, named “One of the 10 Best Comics to Watch” by SF Weekly, has delighted audiences for over a decade with his brand of fun, fresh, and uplifting comedy, blending music, personal stories, and pop culture into his highly interactive shows. His comedy can be heard in regular rotation on Sirius XM Radio, his new comedy special “The Oracle of Dry Bar” is available now on the Dry Bar Comedy streaming network, and he’s been featured on Fox, ABC, the San Francisco Chronicle and a variety of radio shows and publications. Beyond Stand-up, David was the host of ‘Pivot On The Street’ for Pivot TV’s National Network, has emceed multiple awards shows, including LCA’s Celebrity Awards Gala at the Beverly Hilton, and he recently won “Best Director” at the Oregon Documentary Film Festival for his hit documentary series: David’s Ark.
In October of 2020, he released Lone Star Lance, his laugh-out-loud debut mystery novel and in April of 2019, he took on the biggest project of his life: the birth of his first-born son, who has provided a wealth of material and poopy diapers. In 2022, baby boy #2 arrived, along with the Audiobook version of Lone Star Lance, narrated by David and available on Audible.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, he now resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Tina, his two dogs, and Matthew and Teddy, the aforementioned poop-dispensers.

Summary
Nevenka Folk Ensemble is a Los Angeles-based women’s folk chorus performing music from Eastern Europe whose repertoire includes songs from Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Russia, Ukraine, and from the Ladino Sephardic and Romani cultures.
The group was formed in 1976 by women who shared a common interest in the complex harmonies and compelling rhythms typical in Balkan music. Very much in the Eastern European tradition, Nevenka includes women of all ages making music together.

As our community continues to recover from the Mountain Fire, we want to provide a space and more opportunities to get some temporary reprieve through art and creation.
In the days leading up to our Holiday Art Market, we will be hosting free-to-attend events in the gallery, including activities within the fields of music, visual art and literature.
This programming is kindly being put together with the help of world-class artists who wish to support the community and respond to adversity through their various forms of creativity. Everyone is invited to join us in the gallery, as these events have been designed for a general audience with no prior experience necessary. Join us on Wednesday, December 4th for a gathering of writers!
Studio Channel Islands—a longtime community leader in supporting and growing the visual arts in Southern California—is in the process of strengthening its ties to the local literary arts. The organization is now home to the Ventura County Poetry Festival and Camarillo’s only recurring open reading, and we are looking to establish more opportunities for writers working in other genres including fiction, nonfiction, poetic prose, memoir, journaling, storytelling, and more.
This meeting will give all local writers an opportunity to connect, and we will be holding space for a discussion to get a sense of what sorts of events might be useful for our wider writing community. If you have ideas for workshops, generative and/or feedback groups, readings, publications or anything else writing-related, we want to hear about them! And if you are an educator or expert in your field and would like to help establish and run a part of a burgeoning literary program, please come by and let us know how we can assist with providing the resources you might need.
Whatever your interest in writing, Studio Channel Islands is aiming to accommodate your needs, and we hope this meeting will give us an idea of how we can contribute to our writing community in whatever ways we can.
If you know of any other local writers who might be interested in this event, please invite them along. We’re looking forward to seeing and hearing from you!
At the beginning of this event, there will be a short reading in response to the recent fires. If you would like to read a poem or short piece of prose as part of this, please bring it along. No advanced sign-ups are necessary.

Free artist talk presented as part of the Creative Community Gatherings series.
Two exceptional artists with diverse practices in conversation regarding their work and the unusual methods they utilize to make art. Carol Shaw Sutton is a fiber sculpture artist and Susan Stinemuehlen-Amend a glass artist, both have internationally reputations for their creative vision and mastery of diverse materials. Carol gathers natural materials to transform into sculptural work, she weaves and composes with fiber, wood, feathers and other natural forms while Susan utilizes glass to reveal and make invisible the compositions that she creates with light and ink.
Carol Shaw Sutton‘s work often consists of poetically narrative objects and installations utilizing both ancient and modern processes that require a labor-intensive commitment with the goal of simultaneously valuing and transcending the concept of time. These address the deep human concern for harmony and release through our bodies into nature and the mysterious beyond.
“I’ve been working with fiber since the age of five in a family where there was very little textile tradition, therefore no oversight or rules. This gave me immense freedom to find my own way, as I learned from everything I saw, including our gardener as he, magically tied the loose cut vines with nothing but themselves! Since art school where I learned the usual array of mediums, I greedily took every course in what was then pejoratively called primitive or non-western art history. I saw indigenous cultures from all over the world use EVERYTHING growing around them to make wildly beautiful, mythic and evocative works. To this day, fiber with all its processes, materials and history has filled me with a deeply humble respect and has provided me a language to embody a coherent self as part of nature. My current work, shown here, is loosely titled Staying Alive, referring to my own personal and our collective challenges during this time in America, in the world and in our aging bodies. I’ve found solace and meaning in the simple act of stitching, wrapping, looping, or weaving with materials that have a life span, as do we. While doing this work, I watch my brain struggle, investigate, negotiate and then loosen while working towards moments of discovery and joy.” – Carol Shaw Sutton
Susan Stinsmuehlen-Amend was trained as a painter, she approach glass through that lens. Conceptually, she think as a surrealist, combining unlikely images to create a new narrative.
No matter how many permutations her work has taken, there are still elements of the 12th Century techniques of stained glass. After completing countless commissions she pulled away from “good design” and let the wash of the unconscious lead her choices of glass and imagery.

Event Details
Raku pottery was developed as ceremonial tea ware for Zen Buddhist Masters in the 16th century. Raku was originally prized in its simplicity and its avoidance of opulence, both of which were important to the Zen philosophy. The word “raku” conveys the enjoyment of freedom and so raku pottery was built without function or utility in mind.
It is believed that the spirit of the maker is incorporated into the raku shape and is therefore revealed naked (unglazed) at the foot of each pottery piece. It is said that if we remain alert to ourselves, in examining the raku form, we will recognize our own spirit and meaning.
American raku pottery dates to 1960 when a famous ceramic artist named Paul Soldner discovered the exciting results possible when a pot was placed in combustible materials when removed from the kiln. It differentiates from Japanese raku in that it focuses primarily on this post firing reduction. While both techniques embody the spirit of spontaneity, removing a piece from the kiln and letting it smolder in a combustible makes American raku pottery all the more exciting and unpredictable.
Workshop Description

Your work will be bisqued and ready to be glazed by the following class, where you will practice raku decorating techniques. Work size is limited to 6” wide and 10” high.

Summary
“Ghostly Labor: A Dance Film” explores the history of labor in the US–Mexico borderlands through Tap Dance, Mexican Zapateado, Son Jarocho, Afro Caribbean movement, and live music. Co-directed by John Jota Leaños and Vanessa Sanchez, this work brings together polyrhythmic movement and an original score to look at the (ongoing) years of systemic exploitation of labor while highlighting the power and joy of collective resistance.
Based on farmworker interviews in California, this work honors the sacred hands that feed us and was filmed on Avila Garcia Farms with support from Ayudando Latinos a Soñar (ALAS), a non-profit advocacy organization for farmworkers in Half Moon Bay, CA. A full-length dance theater production of Ghostly Labor will premiere in 2023.
John Jota Leaños is an award-winning Mestizo (Xicano/Italian/Chumash) new media artist using animation, documentary, and performance focusing on the convergence of memory, social space, and decolonization. Summary
From dance floors to concert halls, the Syncopaths bring a fresh, contemporary spin to tunes and songs rooted in the Scottish, Irish, and American folk traditions. Evolving through their contradance origins, they are creating a “chamber folk” sound, characterized by the compelling rhythmic interplay of fiddle and mandolin, rich vocals, and unexpected colors and rhythms of the piano and bodhrån. The exuberant joy they derive from the music and each other is palpable and contagious.

Join us for a discussion with Tension/Form artist Anne Bedrick.
Anne Bedrick transplanted herself from New York to Palm Springs in the spring of 2019. She immediately immersed herself in the vibrant local art scene: opening a gallery-fronted studio space, organizing an art walk for her local area as well as founding and organizing the Desert Open Studios tour in the Coachella Valley, with over 150 artists opening their studios to the public.
A self-taught painter, Bedrick creates complex abstract, often large-scale, compositions that are full of color. Her work is often compared to jazz music and evokes different emotional responses from viewers each time that they encounter them. She has had both solo and group exhibitions at a variety of venues across the country and her work is collected internationally.

Join us for the opening reception of Across the Divide: Just in Time with introductions from exhibiting artists: Xun Chi, Yu Ji, and Joe Ren.
This exhibition will celebrate creative works in non-traditional media by artists of Chinese descent that speak to the continuous exchange between East and West. We seek to generate cross-cultural comparative insights for a new understanding of Chinese art as an international force taking many forms. This exhibition expands beyond national boundaries to consider how works of art and artists have interacted across their experiences in China and the United States.
As a non-profit organization, the Association of Chinese Artists in American Academia (ACAAC) was founded in 2003 by a group of Chinese artists who teach and research in American universities. Attending the first national exhibition and symposium held at California State University, Long Beach, this group of artists came into consensus in creating a platform for sharing their artistic experiences and educational endeavors. Having been a continuation of the Association’s scholarly endeavor of the past two decades, this 2022 Forum Across the Divide is pleased to invite all ACAAC members to participate in this exhibition.

July 23rd from 3 pm to 6pm
Mian Situ will give a brief overview of the academic approach to painting figures from different eras before demonstrating his technique. This talk and demonstration will take place in the gallery.
Born in Southern China, Mian Situ received his formal art training in his native homeland of Guangdong, formerly Canton. Since 1995, he has been recognized with many national art awards. During the 2003 Masters of the American West show at the Gene Autry Museum, he was honored with three major awards: the Thomas Moran Memorial Award (in recognition of exceptional artistic merit), Artists’ Choice Award and Patrons’ Choice Award. Visual Perception of Art
Art is in the eyes of the beholder. Great painters learned their craft through experience, with little knowledge of visual perception. Today we understand why Mona Lisa’s smile seems so elusive, why Matisse’s wild color palette “works”, and why Picasso didn’t need to paint within the lines. Jerry Clifford will discuss visual perception – showing how the eye and brain form visual images. Through classical and modern artwork, we will get a new look at some familiar masterpieces. We will look especially at works by Carlos Grasso from the Gallery’s current Colorspace exhibit. Join us for a fascinating and fun look into the world and science of visual arts.
Jerry Clifford, Ph.D.
Jerry spent over 40 years as a scientist and educator after receiving a PhD in Nuclear Physics at Iowa State University. As an Air Force officer, he taught physics at the Air Force Academy, worked on nuclear weapons programs, studied particle beams for Reagan’s Star Wars, and worked in the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Jerry has taught physics and astronomy at CSU Channel Islands from 2004 to today, where he still teaches adult learners in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

SBAC’s Arts and Racial Justice Panel series provides a forum for artists and arts and civic leaders to participate courageous conversations. Diversity is the first step in building a healthy community. How can we be more inclusive? How can we point out our blind spots, widen racial parity in our organizations and civic infrastructures, encourage diversity hiring criteria, and highlight opportunities for artists of color in our region? How can we offer access to the arts to both artists of color and audiences of color? This free series will look hard at real-life challenges, provoke and question and, ultimately, explore transformative solutions.
The first panel will explore issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the visual arts. “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the Visual Arts” will be presented via the Zoom webinar platform and the moderator is Charlayne Hunter-Gault, a leading civil rights activist, journalist and former foreign correspondent for National Public Radio, CNN, and the Public Broadcasting Service. Panel members include Gale Fulton-Ross, a renowned artist and arts advocate; Steven High, executive director of The Ringling; Katherine Pill, curator of contemporary art at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg; and Anne-Marie Russell, executive director of Sarasota Art Museum.

This talk features two artists who have spent many years working in the blistering heat of the desert. Thorburn and Killen have been instrumental in the development of creative opportunities for artists to be resident in the Mojave National Preserve, over the years they have enable many artists to make a temporary home in the desert.
What has the impact of the residency been on the Preserve and how they see the desert and what has the impact of the desert been on these artists? Gabe and Bob will reflect upon their own creative practice and the impact of sharing their passion for the desert with dozens if not hundreds of artists. They will pick highlights from the years and if possible, show the last impact of the residency on those artists work.

This talk will discuss the ways that new and mixed media artists explore the desert landscape. The desert is a powerful source of inspiration for artists of all media, however, it is only through digital and mixed media artworks that the full richness of the environment can be captured and rendered into an artwork. Perceive Me Talk with Kristine Schomaker
Artist, curator and muse for the Perceive Me exhibition, Kristine Schomaker, will talk about her inspiration for the project and the journey it has taken her on. She created a series of photographers of herself, naked in her shower, this simple creative act set in motion a project which would engage over 80 artists in creating an outstanding body of work that reflects upon beauty and worth, and asks questions of where artists choose to turn their gaze and what artists see when they look for beauty in the human form.

When a model leaves an abusive relationship, she starts making a film about beauty that ends up saving her life.
SYNOPSIS: Our need to fit into a society, to be loved and accepted, create an abyss between who we are and who we become.
Cris Saur, was bullied in school for being taller and skinnier than the rest of the girls. Later she became a model for the exact same features she was bullied for.
The pressure for the perfect look left her with a very low self-esteem, and she only realised how damaged her self-esteem was after being physically abused by a former partner. Her distorted ideas of her role as a woman in our society, topped with her low self-esteem were the main reasons why she stayed so long in the abusive relationship. The abuse followed by depression and panic attacks were the catalyst of her quest for beauty.
Join us for an introduction by Director Cris Saur, screening of the film, and talkback.

This talk will consider the parallels between making art and the giving of gifts. Each of the artists in the Perceive Me Exhibition created work as an act of generosity, responding to Kristine Schomaker’s ask for work and celebrating her bravery in giving so deeply of herself.
This artist talk will feature three artists with varying degrees of connection to Studio Channel Islands who gave work into the Perceive Me exhibition. These artists created their work in anticipation that it would be taken and shown in galleries around the state to audiences who would not necessarily be familiar with their work only to find their work returning to them and being presented to an audience who are very familiar with their work.
Daggi Wallace is an artist in residence at Studio Channel Islands, she is an internationally collected and award-winning artists. Nurit Avesar is a former artist in residence, she is a mixed media artist who has presented exhibition in collaboration with several of our other artists in residence. Janet Milhomme has exhibited at the SCIart Gallery on several occasion. The artist will talk about their relationship to the theme of the exhibition, and about the liberation of creating work for a project which would be separated from them.

I’m so excited to host the amazing Dawn Emerson, a very sought after artist and instructor, for her first workshop in Camarillo! I have admired her work for decades and hear that she is a most loved instructor who makes her workshops fun and not intimidating at all! Her generous sharing of her knowledge and techniques coupled with her infectious enthusiasm make this class perfect for artists new to the medium as well as more experienced painters.
This 3 day workshop based on techniques in Dawn’s book Pastel Innovations, and includes many new discoveries since the book was published in 2017. Participants will find this workshop fast paced, fun, and FULL of information. The artist’s primary goal is to make you fall in love with drawing and pastel all over again! You’ll explore new approaches to layering pastel with mixed media and learn how to incorporate wonderful PanPastels with stick pastel in your work.
We will strictly adhere to all mandates and CDC recommendations applicable at the time of the workshop. This may include required masks, social distancing, temperature checks, hand washing and sanitizing, no sharing of materials or food. We want all participants to have a fun and safe experience learning from this well known and accomplished artist!
In case of cancellations DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS, all deposits and fees will be refunded.
Dawn grew up in Marblehead, Massachusetts. After graduating from Brown University with a BA in English/Minor in Art in 1977, she began a career in graphic design and illustration. She became a book designer and art director for an educational publisher in the Boston area, until leaving to head west with her young family and husband in 1985. It was in Salt Lake City she discovered a passion for teaching art to children, and she continued teaching in the public schools after moving to Central Oregon in 1991. In 1992 that she discovered the medium of pastel, and began taking workshops with well known pastel artists Sheila Reiman, Harley Brown, Albert Handell, Sally Strand, and others. By 1997 she was winning major awards for her pastel work, writing articles for various art publications, and teaching her own workshops. Dawn has spent the past 26 years creating art, teaching, and experimenting in her Central Oregon studio to push the boundaries of the pastel medium. In 2008 Dawn was introduced to printmaking by mentor Pat Clark. Printmaking led to new and exciting directions for dawn’s art expression and inspired the writing of a book titled “Pastel Innovations” in 2017 by NorthLight Publishers. Three new dvds were also produced by NorthLight, making a total of 6 instructional dvds now available. Dawn’s work has been exhibited in many national exhibits, and is available through the Mockingbird Gallery in Bend, OR. Dawn is sought after as an art judge, workshop instructor, and inspiring demonstrator. Her passion is to help people find their own voice with art and to continue to grow as an artist.
